Medicinal Chemistry

Pharmaceutics & Pharmaceutical Chemistry
The Pharmaceutics & Pharmaceutical Chemistry graduate program at the University of Utah emphasizes education and training at the interface of physical/synthetic organic chemistry, applied mathematics, and modern cell and molecular biology. Graduate students learn to apply fundamental concepts in these areas to many specialized areas of research in modern drug delivery. (Graduate program leading to a PhD)
Pharmacology & Toxicology
Pharmacology and Toxicology are integrative and interdisciplinary sciences that investigate the actions of chemical agents on living systems. The mission of our Department is three-fold, and focuses on research, graduate and professional training, and service. Graduates of our PhD program gain employment in research and teaching positions, engage in research and development in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, and have additional opportunities in research institutes, government agencies, environmental protection organizations, and many other arenas. Graduates of our PhD program teach, conduct research and work at the highest levels of pharmacology and toxicology related research in industry. (Graduate program leading to a PhD)

Pharmacotherapy
One of the most highly acclaimed post-baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) programs in the country. We also have an MS degree program in pharmacy administration, and Pharmacy Practice, a program in Rradiopharmacy, an integrated MS-MBA, and a residency program in institutional practice management in Pharmacy.
